ABTsolute Recovery Workout September 15, 2018

ABTsolute Recovery

Please join us in the launch of CrossFit Result to promote recovery from addiction while fundraising for Shatterproof.

This event is to honor Ryan McCrossan, to remember loved ones we have lost, and to support our friends & family that are in recovery.

ABTsolute's owner, Andrew Abt, will be teaching an enthusiastic 1-Hour workout consisting of aerobic & anaerobic exercises to engage the entire body, get the heart rate up, and burn the calories. This 60-Minute inspirational workout is sure to make you sweat, smile, and raise some serious money!

Whether you give $1000, $100, or $25, any amount will help change lives.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

This cause is very dear to our team, and we appreciate all the support we can get! Together we can make a difference!

We will be hosting an event on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at ABTsolute Training Systems. Located at 5 Plain Ave, New Rochelle, NY. Please RSVP to Andrew@abtsolutetraining.com. This event is to create awareness around the drug epidemic currently happening in the United States.

The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) defines addiction as a chronic, relapsing brain disease that is characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use, despite harmful consequences. In the United States, 8–10% of people over the age of 12 are addicted to alcohol or other drugs. That’s approximately 22 million people.

A total of 63,632 Americans died of a drug overdose in 2016 — a 21.5% increase over the 2015 total, according to the report. The researchers attribute this sharp uptick in deaths to the fatalities involving potent synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, which doubled in 2016.

Thank you again for your generosity.Together, we are stronger than addiction. We Are Shatterproof!
